The MS Kognition app presents a targeted approach to enhancing cognitive abilities, specifically designed for individuals affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS). It focuses on training cognitive skills that are often compromised due to the condition, including attention, memory, and executive functions, while ensuring an engaging user experience.

Developed in collaboration with experts, the app offers scientifically validated exercises in the following areas:

 <li>Attention: Exercises for focused and divided attention</li>
 <li>Memory: Tasks related to working memory, long-term memory, and name recall</li>
 <li>Executive Functions: Activities focusing on word finding, planning, and problem-solving skills</li>
</ul>

The exercises typically include multiple levels of difficulty, allowing users to progress and adapt their training as their abilities improve.

After each exercise session, users receive immediate feedback with their current scores and historical performance data. Additionally, users can track their best scores in a statistics section that can be shared with friends.

While specifically tailored for individuals with MS, MS Kognition is also suitable for anyone looking to enhance everyday cognitive skills in a fun and interactive manner.

This initiative was realized through the support of the independent patient organization Deutsche Multiple Sklerose Gesellschaft (DMSG) and its regional association AMSEL, Aktion Multiple Sklerose Erkrankter e.V., with financial backing from Techniker Krankenkasse.

Expert guidance was provided by Dipl. Psych. Heike Meißner, Head of Psychology, and Prof. Dr. med. Peter Flachenecker, Chief Physician at the Neurological Rehabilitation Center Quellenhof in Bad Wildbad.
